If a bunch of worthless old people got better healthcare, they'd live longer, draw more social security and drain other social programs! Good riddance to them.

Keep Healthcare private, high priced and for the healthiest I say! Am I right?

I agree.. and I'm 50. It's time we get all these air hogs off the dole and stop supporting them and their squishy bowel movements.

Short life span may have less to do with health care than you think. Even with universal health care, we Americans will still eat out at high-fat restaurants with massive portions twice a week for dinner and 5x a week for lunch. And after we get home, we'll sit in front of our TVs enjoying the many hours of recorded TiVo programming saved from the 250 channels of DirecTV that we subscribe to. Then, we'll go sit in front of a computer answering questions on Y!A (yep... looks like I'm doing that right now, doesn't it?)

Bottom line: Don't discount our personal habits as causes of life expectancy any less than health care.

I don't think there's a correllation between universeal vs private health care and longevity.

Actually, people go crazy trying to find correllations with lifespan...

I agree, but some people in the US aren't taking care of themselves, waisting money on drugs and alcohol. Doing everything they can to shorten their lifespan. Um obesity being one of them. There are a lot of healthy people out there too, just a lot of unhealthy people too.

So move.
I don't mean to give you the pat answer of "if you don't like it, leave" - but, seriously, if there's something better out there, go for it.
