12 and under is against the rules. That's the only technical wrong. As far as what some people are talking about, the young people that should not be on here are the ones that are reporting other users who are here to have a good time just because they do not understand what is going on. If you do not have a proper answer for a question, leave it alone and do not answer, but don't be rude, continuously thumbs down answers, or report others. That's terribly immature, and ruins the good time for others. That does NOT apply to all of the young people on here, but there should be a special 'Teen' section just for those types of things.

Absolutely not. Anyone of any age can and should participate in polls and surveys. Every individual's vote counts in a poll regardless of age. These are the opinions that shape the result of a poll or survey. Because surveys and polls share the same intention (that is, to determine an over-all opinion) everyone should participate. However, if you do not understand the poll you should not participate. Basically, if you are old enough to have a full understanding of the poll or survey you should definitely vote.

I'm young. I'm above most adults as well. Even if they have some 'age limit", I'll still be here. And I'm sure many other teens feel the same way. Also, yahoo says this is a "cummunity website", meaning that anyone no matter what age or race can be here.

how "young" are you talking about? You know that most kids have learned every cuss word in the book by the age of 13 these days, right? lol. Just yesterday when I was at Dairy Queen I heard this little kid (must have been 13 or 14) call his sister a b*tch

the other day an 11 yr old was on(they posted their age)..I personally think thats way too young. There are a few rude/disgusting people on here. I want to know where that kids parents were....

It depends upon what you mean by young. Also, unless a parent has their child set to parental controls, there is no way of knowing a persons age on here. So yes, it is wrong but there is no way to monitor that.

The entire purpose of this site is for people to share their knowledge. By definition, kids do not have enough knowledge to share besides basic school-type education. A lot of life's best answers are not found in school, but in the basic act of living life and gaining experiences. Yet again, because of their limited age, kids do not have any life experience either. So, with that said, they can offer absolutely nothing to others on this site with real questions. Perhaps to others in their age groups they have some appeal, but if you're speaking strictly about the purpose of this site, then kids have no place here.

No nothing wrong with it so long as their parents don't have a problem with it, their the ones that should control it not us.
And FYI I'm an older person...over 40

I don't have a problem with it at all. In first place how are they going to learn if they don't ask questions and get answers from older people who have been there done that.
Secondly by answering their questions we just might help keep them from getting themselves in a bind or bad trouble.
Third us older people do have sort of a responsibility to help younger people by answering their questions. And listening to their point of view.
