Don't let anybody make you do anything you don't want to do. I hung out with a lot of different types of people when I was in high school. I just tried to distance myself from certain people when they were smoking weed, or going to shady parties that were likely to get busted. People always tried to get me to smoke weed, but they really respected that I had a mind of my own, and they didn't view me as a chicken. I was cool with the jocks, cheerleaders, stoners, and the nerds. You can be nice and friendly with different groups of people without completely shutting them out. Just keep your convictions and people will respect you for it, as long as you don't go around judging people who don't have the same beliefs/morals as you.
If you are hanging out with older guys, that can be a pretty tough crowd to deal with. They will probably put more pressure on you than guys your own age. Although its good to be friends with everyone, don't be the sophomore girl who only hangs out with senior guys. You will be more likely to get into drugs and sex and have less friends when the older crowd graduates.

Next time they ask you to hang out, say "Ok, but can I take a friend along?" take your best friend who is most understanding and outgoing. You will feel more comfortable then. Have fun with the guys and I think if you bring a friend along, you will be more outgoing and have more fun! But, if they offer you drugs, say no and get out of there, right away!

It's okay to hang out with them as long as you don't participate in their bad behavior. Jesus Christ, who was completely sinless, spent a lot of time with drunkards, prostitutes, tax collectors (who were known to be very corrupt and hated back then), etc. He never participated in their sins but He built relationships with them, and that was a good thing. Some of them He redeemed. Anyway, if you think you can't resist the temptations they bring along with them, you should stay away from them. Romans 6:23a: "For the wages of sin is death". There is redemption available but there are also consequences for sin, here in this world, as I think you already know.

Do avoid the drugs, I have seen alot of my friends ruin their lives with drugs. If you get caught in a situation where drugs are present, tell them it's not that you don't want to do it, but you have a job interview that requires a drug test next week. That has gotten me off the hook a time or two.

if they ask you again just tell them your not into those kinds of things and hopefully they understand
if your friends tell you that you should go and live a little just tell them that there are other ways of living and having fun
that you perfer to live a good life with out having to deal with trouble that can affect you and others
then tell your friends if they want to go out and have safe fun and laugh when you say that so they feel like your crazy :) you know
hopefully it helps
good luck
always remember you dont need to do bad things or illegal things to fit in or be cool
proof them that its better to be on the safe side :)

Well if you want to, i say you just hang out with them for once and see how you like it. If your not ready to do whatever they're doing (drugs and etc..) then let them know you're not ready for it. If they are real friends who are true to you and respect you the way you deserve. They would not force you into doing something you don't want to do. Also, don't ever let anyone peer pressure you into doing what they're doing. If they choose to mess up their lives, don't let it ruin yours they don't have to suffer if they messed up your life, all the consequences goes to you. Your life is in your hands and no one can ever mess it up. Just stand up for yourself because if you don't then you'll fall for anything. Be smart sweetie. =)

you can hang out with them, but know yourself. just because they do drugs doesn't mean you have to do drugs too. if they want you to do something that is against your principles, tell them. if they can't deal, then maybe you should ask yourself if they are what you want as friends

You had someone tell you that you are "lucky to have the opportunity" to hang out with deadbeat drug heads? You need to dump that person out of your life immediately. You do not hang out with drug heads, they will ruin your life just as they are ruining theirs.
