What is the solution to 8/2i? Is it 4i or -4i? Please show me which is correct, thank you.

I meant to say 8/-2i.

It's -4i

Look at it this way
1/i = i / i^2
But i^2 = -1
So 1/i = -i
Thus 8/(2i) = 4/i = -4i

8/2i =
4/i =
4i/(i * i) =
4i/i^2 =
4i/(-1) =
-4i

8 / (- 2 i) = - 4 / i = - 4 i / i² = - 4 i / (-1) = 4 i
