take the lose and keep it moving. you did yourself a favor. 500 hundred is relatively inexpensive lesson to learn. a life time with an unwanted child would have been a greater price to pay. consider yourself lucky. dump the loser make your life. i doubt that you have a case unless you have it in writing.

You could sue him in Small Claims court. This does not fall under the "Statute of Frauds", so there is no need for the contract to be written to be enforceable.

However, you did say he was a Loser. If you get a judgement, he probably still won't have any money, and you'll have made what most people want to remain private a matter on the public record.

im not a lawyer but aside from small claims court i dont think there is anything you can do unless he wrote that he would pay half or you recorded him saying so. i work collects for a company and its hard enough to get people to pay with a contract. Try calling his mom or like i said small claims court....i figure a judge should side with you cause he didnt want it....

You could take him to a small claims court. This could end up expensive though and as it is your word against his it would come down to the judge on the day. Hard to prove, but you could try talking to the citizens advice. Although my feeling is you would be better off cutting your losses. good luck anyway

Not really. Unless you had a written contract, it will be his word against yours. As difficult as it is, chalk it up as a lesson that was expensive emotionally, but cheap financially. You could have been stuck trying to get child support off this bum for 18 years.

best wishes.

You could take it to small claims court, I think, as a verbal contract. But, it would be your word against his, without a witness. So, you probably have little chance of winning.

So sorry you have to go through this.

Lesson: if you meet a loser with no job, do not have unprotected sex with him.

Nothing you can do. Same rules apply when a man wants the child but the woman doesn't...her body, her choice. So, your body, your choice, your debt....too bad. Next time don't sleep with guys like that...or use a rubber.

Your body your bill. That's a choice!

I'm pro choice, but come on, pay the 500 and thank god you don't have to put up with his @$$.

$250 is the least of your worries. Consider it a cheap lesson.
