I surely hope you are not really a teacher, because if my kid was in your class I would have you fired. After I beat the crap out of you.

Not really. It would really depend on the source of the information used. I was no fan of Clinton and I do believe he violated the public trust. However, depending on where you look you will be left with the impression that he was either the saint of the 20th century, or the worst scoundrel ever. Either way neither is completely true or false. He was not the best president ever, but he was also not the worst.

Not surprised they are probably being taught to believe what ever the media says because they don't have time to learn critical thinking or objective analysis, they have to learn how to pass "the test". Stupid assignment. While he got ahead this country got ahead to the tune of no deficit and a balanced budget. Why don't you teach the 7th graders to look for the positive things in people? Anyway by the time they're old enough to run for president North America will be a single continent republic and they won't be allowed to run for office unless they can prove another country is their country of origin.

Leave the 7th graders out of your politics. As an adult I think he was one of the best president ever for the job. He did made some mistakes that were on personal level. Few good things about Clinton.
1) He was good with numbers and balancing budget ( Fuzzy numbers as Mr. Bush would put it)
3) He was rather moderate and did not alienate conservatives (not talking about republicans)
3) He was respected all over the world for his wisdom.
4) Fiscal responsibility, Budget Surplus, paying of debts. Social security was fairly secure.
5) and best of all he knew what he was doing.

I think that if you give kids a project to report anyone's failures and not their accomplishments, that person could seem like the worst person ever. I have a feeling if you did the same assignment next year with a different president, you would get similar results.

As a teacher you're doing a poor job. Teach your kids about success and the success of others and in their research they'll discover the failures on their own. You're an example of a bad lesson. Grow up. Are you in the seventh grade too?

Well, if all you look at are someone's failures, then of course it would come as no surprise that they would look bad. And if you then do not compare those failures to anyone else's failures, you'd have to assume the person you looked at was the worst. Now, if you had them compare Clinton's failures to Bush's, they'd think he was the best president ever.
Of course, you never did this, so the kids never said that, so it is kind of a moot point.

Did they research other presidents? No. You told them to write a report on one. Of course they are going to say he is bad.
You're turning this to make people look bad.
You're a bad teacher if you ask me. Putting your personal feeling on your students.

Also, I dont know what state you're supposedly from but in 7th grade you dont do reports on presidents, in fact you dont even begin learning US History until 8th grade and then again in 11th grade. 7th grade is GEOGRAPHY. Wow...what a shame...

Accused of changing the rationale for 'his' war, and hounded for mismanaging it. Derided as an uninspiring public speaker. Belittled as an idiot. Blamed for dividing the nation. Charged with incompetence in his administration. Accused of trampling on the Constitution. Engaged in censorship and manipulation of the press. Mockingly compared with lower primates. Pressured for a key Cabinet Advisor's resignation. Of course, we're referring to Abe Lincoln. Why don't you have your kids do a paper comparing Abe Lincoln to George Bush. History will see GW as one of the best presidents i history

At that age the kids have not been fully indoctrinated by the leftists who dominate the American educational system, so they will still accept the truth. Try that in most colleges and you will be accused of hate speech and possibly physically attacked.
