virginity is a lack of carnal knowledge. In other words, if you haven't had sex, you are a virgin. Physical obstructions like the hymen are ephemeral and can be torn loose with simple physical activity, so are not an example of virginity.

You can in fact lose your virginity and not be sexually active. Say, three years ago you lost your virginity but you haven't had any sexual encounters recently then you arn't sexually active.

yes you can lose your virginity and not be sexually active....you may have been sexually active in the past but that does mean you are now...

The dictionary defination of a virgin is a person who has never had sex.. so how can one loose their virginity and not be sexually active??

to be a virgin means to have never had sex. to be sexually active means just that to be having sex. so if have had sex but are not having sex currently then yes you can loose your virginity and not be sexually active.

no. I think losing your virginity isn't always when your cherry pops, but when you have been involved in sexual activity that takes away your innocence.

The Hyman can break of for any reason. Besides the woman saying she is a virgin the Hyman is seen as tell tale sign of virginity.

virginity is more related to a spiritual state rather than a physical state, if you have intercourse with someone you have crossed the threshold of no longer being a virgin

Being a virgin means you've never had sexual intercourse. It has nothing to do with your hymen being broken. Your hymen can be broken with a tampon, vigerous exercise, etc. Like I said, being a virgin means you've never has actual sexual intercourse, you've never had penis-in-vagina contact, regardless of having a hymen or not.
