Harleys suck they are they are traders to there own country when they sold out to japan and more recent have allowed harleys to me made in Brazil and India. so they cant keep a american made motorcycle made in America ok yes they make them here also but why do they have to make them and sell them in other countrys also with all them sales why has the price not come down i can by a honda shadow for under $10.000 and it will be more comfortable faster better mpg and will be more dependable i would never buy a harley unless it was old before the company became idiots and ****** every thing up and just think there are dozens of American motorcycles made before ww2 so many cutting edge for there day why dont some investors get together and remake the Henderson!! Harleys Suck and if you think thats all there is then you are a narrow minded idiot and are coping a bunch of people who are wrong

Yes and if you care to see them made you can go to York Pennsylvania and take a tour of that factory. There are other factories in the USA, but I am not sure what their tour policy is. The York factory is especially tour friendly, its open all day and you need no appointment. There is a large souvenir shop and exhibits in addition to the tour.

This is not a cheap 5 cent tour. You will be outfitted with safety glasses and will be out on the factory floor. Wear cool clothing as the factory is not air conditioned in the summer.

Many of the businesses in the area make parts for Harley and they buy lots of equipment from USA vendors. One of the reasons the can afford to pay more for American made parts is that Harley has very strong brand loyalty and people will pay more for the product. Hey, if its not a Harley, why would you buy it?

My ex-hubby drove a Harley Davidson motorcycle but, before
that drove a black Ford, Escort that he had an accident in
and he had to quit driving for awhile. He is a safe driver but,
they thought he had been drinking, somewhat. He proved to
them that he hadnot. He did get to keep his Driver's License.
But, he has to be off his medication to drive, again what
about a motorcycle?

yes they are made here, but showa suspension is from japan, same with dunlop ties, not usa. both my suzuki motocross bikes have showa forks and dunlops tires both made in japan. and delphi closed their U.S. plants and only has them overseas now. i dont think Rek t has reliable info.
