People aren't meant to be classified into one itty bitty "label", we're more diverse than that! It's completely fine to be more than one...whether you've got punk and goth and emo in you....it's definitely possible! As long as you're being yourself, if that calls for having a mixture of culture and styles in you, then why not? You can have certain elements of the stereotypical styles of people, for example, you might really enjoy emo music but your attitude in life could be far from it. Or you like preppy styles but love listening to hardcore rock. All that matters is that you are YOU....society doesn't have the right to fit you into one category. Be yourself, that's all that matters!

Dont follow labels. They're stupid and pointless. I get called goth and emo all the time and i hate it. Im me, and i dont want to be a part of a bunch of sterotypical people. Its a waste of time, and i'd much rather not be included.
Just be yourself and do worry about labels!

labeling is for posers...maybe you'd be happier if you didn't label people! Everyone is uniquely themself! You can't classify them in one word or even fifty! Sometimes I dress punk and rock n' roll, other times I wear all black like a goth...sometimes I wear my pink, poofy skirt with a lacy white top and I'd be considered a prep...other times I wear a sweatshirt and sweatpants with tennies so I'd be considered sporty or "a jock"...those are rare events, though, usually I dress in really unique and artistic clothing with some vintage flavor through acessories. You see, you can't define someone through how they dress most of the time or how they act most of the time. Everyone is unique and has original ideas and thoughts most of the time. You included. =D

Personally, I think those are just labels people make up. You are you. Does your birth certificate say "goth" or "emo" on it, I highly doubt it. But it is up to you if you want people calling you one of those labels.

I just look at the inside of the waistband of my shorts and I know that my "label" is "Vince."
That's the only label that counts. I don't define myself by how others sort people. My "type" is unique to me. I define myself. No one is going to categorize me as a "hippy," if I feel like drivint my wife's T-Bird. No one can make me a geek just because I read science fiction. No one dares define me as "fey," because I am an artist.
I'm Vince. If you want to be a "Vince," then good luck trying to keep up!

what type of music do you like.... what mood are you in most of the time.... and which label do you think looks the coolest.... or you can always just try everything and see which one you like best.... some people aren't a label at all.

why do you need just one label? life would be too boring if you had to compartmentalize yourself into just one. Why not wear what you want and be happy?
