I am a 20f. Ok, so this friend of mine who is a guy has been texting me a lot lately. Its about silly things like making bets or deals. He text messages me stuff and sends me emails and things. He keeps asking me in a joking way when I am going to paint his nails. And this keeps happening over and over, at least 4 times a week. And he always wants to make a bet that if I win he has to paint his nails and if he wins he gets to do something to me. Don't get me wrong he is still a really nice guy and a great friend. How do I get this to stop what should I do? Girls if you where in my shoes what would you do about this? Should I just paint his nails next time he says anything?

People are taking your ? at face value, I tend to look deeper. From what I see, he is trying to understand a feminine point of view-maybe cross dressing or transgenderism. joking with you may be one way of gauging how you will react, therefore making him more comfortable about asking you seriously. If you want to keep him as a friend, then lose a bet on purpose and paint his nails. Then he will be more comfortable aking you about other things and thus gaining your confidence, love, respect, and most of all trust.

I always told my best friend in high school that he was gay, no way he said and got a girlfriend-someone within our circle- to prove it. In college he tells me, I'm bi. No-you're gay, I said. Years later he calls me up-I'm gay, and I said I always told you so and I love you. He is still my best friend after 20 years and godfather to my kids if anything happens to us. People just need to know that they can trust you to open up without fear of rejection.

Change your phone number and don't give the new number to him. He has more on his mind than just "doing someone's nails". He also won't stop texting you on his own since it is still going on after you have told him to quit. If he keeps it up after you change your number, report it to the police and he can be charged with harassment, stalking, etc.
