Got prove that liberals are trying to outlaw fast food? Documentation? Sites? you know, actual and tangible proof.
Transfats are carcinigens and they are known as a direct source of cancer because of the process that is used to make them. You should be greatful that someone cares enough about your health to get a restaurant to use a healthy fat. There is no need for transfats when there are healthy fats that can be used. This isn't a liberal issue. This is a public health issue. You aren't losing your access to fast foods on this issue so quit your whining.

Why would liberals outlaw fast food? Bill Clinton still loves McDonald hamburgers. Even without Bill why would anyone want to take a choice from us. If I want to clog my arteries and die young it should be my decision to do so. Of course the fast food restaurants could be a little more responsible and go with the trend toward better eating and offer a bill of fare that includes healthy stuff as well as the artry cloggers. There should be a choice fast food restaurants should give the consumer the choice. " do you want transfat fries or healthy fries?" and see what people order. Yeah that's how to do it.

Not oulawing fast food... but they will regulate and tax the living **** out of it.

I imagine first it will be fat taxes... Detroit already proposed a city wide fast food tax... next will be regulating fast food... kinda like fast food CAFE standards (CAFE standards are the milage standards the federal governemnt puts on automobiles)... therefore McDonalds will be allowed to have Big Macs on the menu, so long as they also have something like wheat-grass juice to offset the Big Mac. Then it'll be surgeon generals warnings, or the like...

The modern liberals know better than to try to outlaw something straight on... they are well aware that the best way of getting what they want accomplished is in incremental attacks against their targeted industries...

Oh yeah, look for in the future for there to be more lawsuits against fast food restaurants too... the leftists know that lawsuits are their best chance of doling out puinshment against targeted industries, without securing the will of the people! Remember there were over 200 lawsuits against the tobacco industry before a single jury decided agains the tobacco industry.

Well, I'm a republican and I think we should get the fast foods out of our schools.
Do you know how powerful the food lobby is in Washington. We really do need to set better standards for our kids and not cave to the big corperations.
Ban fast foods, no. I enjoy a whopper once in awhile. ;-)

i think of it particularly is the plan. they have been hinting that in case you do no longer consume perfect, smoke cigarettes etc. which you at the instant are not a to blame shopper. examine out what they have completed re: trans fat. this could be a shopper determination. no longer punitive from the government.

You and anyone else is free to put that poison in your bodies. Hell I smoke so I can't say all that much. I haven't eaten fast food in years. I doubt there are many of us that live totally pure.

It can kill you...companies knowingly are selling you things that can kill you but go right ahead and eat it if you want...you will be sorry! Plus they do not want to outlaw fast food...all they are saying is for the companies to cook the food in a different oil....get the facts before you say things like this.

Maybe next they'll outlaw sleepovers in the Congress and their spin the gavel.

I don't eat fast food, but outlawing it all together is pathetic, people can eat what they want.
