And call her Jade for short?

I really like it - it goes well with our last name but I don't think my husband likes Jayden so much. Elizabeth is my great grandmother's name - we are trying to use someone's name in the family as the middle name.

Thoughts? If you don't like the name Jayden, what do you think sounds nice with Elizabeth as a middle name?

Overused and generic? I've never heard of anyone named Jayden - including children today.

I love that name! It's definitely unique, it's better to have a name out of the ordinary and it's so pretty! It goes well with Elizabeth. Also, you can try to same name in different spellings, maybe? Or a name close to it.....for example along the lines of Jade, Jada, etc....and I'm not sure if this can be classified as a name, but I always thought Jayna (think 'Reina' with a J) or Jana was really pretty....but that's just my opinion!

Good luck!! =]

While Jayden is used for both sexes, I think a lot of people still think of it as masculine. If you're going to call her Jade for short, how about just naming her Jade? (or Jayde) Or, you could go with Jada instead of Jayden.

Also, I like Elise instead of Elizabeth, as either a first or middle name. It comes from the name Elizabeth, but is less ordinary and old-fashioned.

Peyton Elizabeth makes as lots experience on a woman as Catherine Michael is clever on a boy. Masculine names on females aside, the matchiness of Peyton and Jayden is slightly nauseating.

My daughter's name is Jayden Emily. I love it with Elizabeth as well. The best way to find a name is to shout it at the top of your lungs (that's how you'll be calling them when they get older) It's helped us eliminate some names that sounded good until we did that.
