going to vegas for vacation, and i want the best deal possible, including airfare and hotel, and if possible food and beverages or some sort of events included, if not hotel and airfare is fine.

You should check out expedia.com they have good deals at cheap prices but if that does not help you out then try out travelocity.com and ORBITZ.com. And make sure you do your research over your hotels before you select your package deal, you should try hotels.com for that.

I have planned three trips to Vegas so far. Each time I tried finding package deals through Orbits, expedia, and 10 other sites like those. Each time I would up going through Vegas.com and getting a package deal through that site. It actually hooked me up with USAirwaysvacations.com, but the deal was still cheaper entering through them than if I went to the USairwaysvacations.com site directly (Don't know why but it was).
My trips were each for 4 nights at the MGM Grand. 2 during Thanksgiving Week (Sun-Thurs) and on in the Apr (Sat -Wed).
The most I paid was 1400 and that included getting a bungalow suite (about 750 sq ft compared to about 430 for a regular room).
Last trip cost 1064 for 4 nights MGM Grand Deluxe Room (those are the regular ones).
Shop around for the best deal from your area. I was coming from Virginia.
Anyway, I would recommend starting at Vegas.com. Of course you can always stay in some other hotel/casino or just hotel and possibly get it for less. I like the MGM Grand but you may prefer another place.

I looked and looked for great packages -- compared and spent lots of time on it when I went to vegas last week..and I found my best deal at NWA.com (car/hotel/airline).
just do lots of research..and prices change everyday...so make notes everyday so you know what the low was.
