I read a story called "The Three Wishes" for my folktales class I took last semester. It originated from Britain, and for the class I had to tell this story in front of the everybody who took it.
This story was about a woodsman who came across a fairy while he was chopping down a tree. The fairy begged him to save the tree and he did, in return he was given three wishes. In awe, he return home and wasted a wish on having a dinner served sooner since his wife was taking so long. He wished for a black pudding and clatter clatter, it came down the chimney on a plate. His wife asked what was happening and he explained, in her anger for his wasting a wish, she wished the pudding on his nose. Poof, the pudding was on his nose, he quickly wished it off and they ate the pudding, the best they ever had. Or the best that any hungry man could wish for.
Being an American, I kept thinking a pudding was like the Jello pudding we have over here, chocolate, vanilla, etc...So, my curiosity led me to find out what black pudding is(I couldnt assume that that would be a filling meal). A quick net search turned up that black pudding is a sausage, correct?
So, I would say no to having that for dessert. Unless your ass is drunk, then by all means, bust on that mug and fulfill your hunger foo!

No! Black pudding is for breakfast, it's made of pig's blood but it's really really good! I eat it a lot actually, it's not a sweet thing, it's salty.
