Nope, because of the asterisk that most people will put next to it.

Of course, at his current pace, A-Rod will pass Bonds in about 6-7 years, so Bonds will forever be known as the second place cheater.

The only good that his record does for baseball is bringing attention to the game. People are watching baseball in record numbers these days and for the partly it's because of scandals like these. It's like watching a car accident happen right before your eyes and not being able to turn away.

In all sports, you need an enemy to root against. The bigger the enemy, the bigger the draw at the games. Barry Bonds attracted more than 40,000 people in each game of a 3 game WEEKDAY series at Shea Stadium this year against the Mets. New Yorkers came just to give him a piece of their mind. And it also put butts in the seats.

I don't think it is, it's showing that as long as you can cheat at something and not get caught that your fine. I'm glad that Hank Aaron is not going to have anything to do with this record being broken and I hope that Bonds goes down in history w/ a HUGE asterisks next to his so called "Record"

I don't see how it could be, since the cloud of steroid use will hang over the record.
