Anyone watch this TV show? If so, what is your take on it? Do you think they fake a lot of the scenes to bring in the ratings or do you think a majority of their finds are legitimate?
I love the show, but the advertisement commercials definately build up the excitement, only to be let down when you watch it and see the findings.

I like the show because they are so reluctant to use the word haunted. Jason very rarely uses it, it's as though they go in with the intention of disproving a haunting or spirit being there. I like that they do all they can to try and explain things away, and do a good job of it.
I agree that the ads give way too much hype when it's usually a reflection or a shadow when they make it seem like so much more.
I think that they are legitimate, out there to help the people who request that they come to investigate.

I like the show a lot too and I think what they film is legitimate because mostly they try to disprove what they find that's paranormal, so I don't see the point in faking it. Most of the time, they don't even confirm paranormal activity anyway and give other "scientific" reasoning, like the the wind closed/opened the door or that the foundation of the house is so old, it made the speaking noises. It's very interesting to see what they get on film.

I Luv the show too and agree that they do play it up a little much on the commercials but thats television, they need the ratings to stay in business. I like when they play the evp's, and actually catch something. It makes the let down worth it.

i love the show it's my favorite. I dont think it's fake. If your don't beleive in the supernatural, a tv will always give you doubt you'd have to experiense first hand. I beleive it. Now the show that has the britist lady that dose a ghost hunting show i think on the travel channel, i think that's fake if you watch you see people manipulating things.
i beleive Ghost hunters is 100% real, i think that's why they have such short seasons, hard to find stuff.

i love that show too. its hard to say if its hype or not probably a good mix. as much as id love the world to be haunted its better to know that taps both believe in the supernatural and try to display that to a world that only understand science. john j...im still trying to get in touch with u....yahoo deleted my last message to u....

I love the show and like how they approach situations...not believing its haunted but trying to disprove things....
Last night's show was great...the murder vicitms of charles manson...that was one of the better shows....
but alass, they do tend to build up many scenes that really turn out to be nothing...but there are gems now and again! addicting to watch!!

Lately they haven't had a lot of findings for their investigations. I do like the fact that they do try to debunk certain things. It's entertaining though and it makes me think.

ugh, my boyfriend loves that show so sometimes i get sucked into watching it. i agree, the commercials make it seem like something really sweet and unusual will happen, and then the actual show comes on and it's nothing. i think it's pretty dumb and unreal. i've only seen one episode where something interesting actually happened.
