[f'g - fg' ]/ g^2

=[5*(x^2+1) - (5x-2)*(2x)] / (x^2+1)^2
=[5x^2 + 5 - 10x^2 + 4x] / x^4 + 2x^2 + 1
=[-5x^2 + 4x + 5] / x^4 + 2x^2 +1

Denominator X derivative of numerator - numerator X derivative of denominator, all divided by the denominator squared.

(5x-2)/(x^2+1)
[(x^2+1)*5 - (5x-2)*2x]/(x^2+1)^2
= [5x^2 +5 -10x^2 +4x]/(x^2+1)^2
= (-5x^2+4x+5)/(x^2+1)^2

If y = u / v and:-
y = (5x - 2) / (x² + 1)
dy /dx = (v du/dx - u dv/dx) / v²
dy / dx =[ (x² + 1)(5) - (5x - 2)(2x) ] / (x² + 1)²
dy / dx = [ 5x² + 5 - 10x² + 4x ] / (x² + 1)²
dy /dx = [ 5 + 4x - 5 x² ] / (x² + 1)²

derivative of : f(x) / g(x) is:

f'(x)g(x) - g'(x)f(x)
-----------------------
g^2(x)

[5(x^2+1) - (5x-2)(2x)] / (x^2+1)^2
[5x^2+5-10x^2+4x] / (x^2+1)^2
[-5x^2 +4x +5] / (x^2+1)^2
