It was only a segue to touching you anyway.

As magster said, they are trying to flirt with you.

If a person has an attraction to another person, it is common that they want to see how ticklish that person is because playful tickling produces laughter and is generally harmless.

In some cases, the person asking if the other person is tickling also has a tickle fetish and they are hoping to be able to share their love of tickling with them.

Frequent, when a ticklish person is asked if they are ticklish, they will say no because the do not want to be tickled. They would have much better luck if they said, "Yes, I am ticklish but I do not want to be tickled. I find it disrespectful when I am tickled against my will". Once you play the "respect" card, the tickle attacks should drop down.

I once asked a girl if she was ticklish and she said no. I respected her and left it at that. A few days later we were in a car with several other friends and one or two of them began tickling her and she went ballistic with laughter. It is very common for ticklish people who do not like to be tickled to lie and say no to the question instead of saying yes but making it clear that they do not wish to be tickled.

I don't know why people do that. I'm ticklish but I HATE to be tickled. The last time someone tickled me I smacked him right in the face. Don't do it!

Cuz they want to tickle you, and people dont like to be tickled, so when you say you aren't ticklish, they think you are lying and try anyways.

Whenever someone asks me, I tell them the truth: yes, I am ticklish... but if I said no and they still tried to tickle me, they're probably just testing me to see if I was lying.

because everyone is somewhat ticklish. It has to do more with the element of surprise than the actual tickle sensation.

They are perverts and want an excuse to touch you.... or they think you said no because you are ticklish and don't want to want to be tickled so they are gonna do it anyway.

No, because I tell them the truth, if I'm tickled I'll vomit.

It's weird but that usually makes people back away, don't know why.

Oh come on!
Everyone who is way ticklish
always lies and says they're not
and people know it, so they
try you out anyway, hoping
you will go nuts.
Matter of fact, most people who
say they ARE, aren't that ticklish,
because they're not afraid of
somebody doing it.
