As a Paramedic, you're a little out of my medical expertise, however I have a few friends who are Opthamologists, and a common ailment with eyes is dryness, so try using the synthetic tears, also you need to sit as far away from the computer as you can, and work with the lights on.

If that doesn't resolve it, consult an Opthamologist.

Go to the doctor and make sure you don't need glasses.Painful eyes is a sign that you may. You just be straining your eyes and if you are doing your job then you probably can't help that but get checked. Glasses may be the answer. Some people only wear glasses to read or to drive so maybe you need them to be on the computer.

Try to get as much sleep as possible, and soothe your eyes with a warm towel over top of them. Are they sore? Or are they painful-painful? Try taking Bilberry by Jamieson. They're little tablets of blueberry extract, and it's full of vitamin A, which is good for the eyes. I take them, and they're great. If they still hurt, go to the doctors. Good luck!

when you use a computer a lot, you forget to blink and your eyes get dry. Try using eye drops and see if that helps.

Try wearing light tinted sunglasses. Visine will help, too.
