It’s clear their ideology has lead this country to deficit, endless & pointless war, and economic aristocracy. Don’t they know that most of the people in this country don’t want that?
How long do they ‘stay the course’ before they realize their ship has sunk?

All their comebacks are lame too.
They haven't even mentioned John Edwards' hair yet.

All they can point to is congressional polling. I got news, nobody EVER approves of congress. It's ALWAYS around 20%.
The Presidents' ratings.... those are a different story.

Are you serious?? If Republicans were irrelevant, your precious liberal Congress would be getting a hell of a lot more done.
"Lame" is your subjective opinion. Fine. I think a lot of people are lame too. But "irrelevant?" Open your dictionary, buddy. There are enough Republicans in the country to keep enough Republicans in Congress to maintain the power struggle that you uber-partisans live for.

This question seems pretty lame and irrelevant to me.
The fact is that "most of the people in this country" wouldn't agree with you stating that they disagree with the war on their behalf. More people support the war than people who resent it. A majority of people who have tirades about the war on forums like Yahoo! Answers will even admit to not being old enough to vote. So the bitter truth is that more people are going to be voting Republican next year than people who plan on voting Democrat.
Accept it. Conservatives overrule liberals in numbers. That's what you can attribute the Republican Party's continual success to. So I wouldn't necessarily shoot my mouth off and say that their "ship has sunk."

That's funny. After 50 years of dominance by the Democrats, the same thing could have been (and was) said at the end of the Carter presidency.
Do the Democrats have new plans, or is our attention span just that short?
I'm not one of those to say our economy is as strong as it could be, but you know what? At the end of the Democrats 50 years, we had unemployment near 10%, inflation as bad or worse as it is now, and lines at the gas pump due to shortages. It isn't that bad these days no matter how you spin it.
Lame comeback? LOL do you pine for the glory days of stagflation?

Our deficit has shrunk dramatically over the last 2 years, thats why youir cnn doesnt talk about it anymore. just like they dont talk about the 8.2 million new jobs since 2003. 4.2 percent unemployment which is lower than your buddy clinton ever saw. and a stock markets reflecting amazing corporate profits, soaring from 12,000 to 14000 in less than a year. yeah irrelivant, nice try, wake up. and the war.... well im not in the mood, were prevailing and you will see that soon enough. you know if we pull right out, the whole region will be in caos

No one with a clear ideology will admit to being lame or irrelevant. I think it depends on whether people want to follow the leader or the seat... are we loyal to the president or the presidency?

No, they live in a time warp, or want to go back to a [past that never was.
Mymadsky: Nope! The Clinton years proved they were not dead til Bush "revitalized" anything.

Republicans irrelevant? Hmm...I'd call a democratic congress with the lowest approval rating on record pretty darned irrelevant. With a rating around 17%, I'd say that MOST of the American people...let me check my math...83% of the American people, consider the democrats irrelevant.
But you keep drinkin' your koolaid there Moonbeam.

"Lame and irrelevant"? Sounds like the current congressional leadership.
Nope, my party is neither. We might have hit a stumbling block, but we're still here and still strong.

well, no. they don't quite "get it" yet but they will ... next election cycle. even faithful life long Republicans are jumping ship and soon all that will remain clinging to the sunken bulkhead are those pathetic 28 Percenters.
