A friend of mine recently asked me to find out information about her mother's old violin. I can't seem to find any information about the maker. The label reads:
Carl Wilhelm Heber
Lauten & Violinmacher fecit 1776
It is a full size violin.
If you can provide any information, I would be very appreciative,

I couldn't find any info either, however, I translated Lauten & Violinmacher fecit 1776 and translates literally as To sounds and violin doer fecit 1776. I believe it is German. Carl Wilhelm Heber is probably the craftsman who made it, however, I am only guessing.
