Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is the shortest classic.
I don't know if you will consider The Oldman And the Sea by Earnest Hemmingway as a classic or not. But thats a fairly short good book too.
You can also try thomas hardy books, I did not find them too long...about 300 pages.

they're all incredibly stable, however the unusual Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is the shortest. it is likewise a marginally alluring "learn" of the duality of guy's nature; the stable and evil factors being thoroughly cut up into 2 "different" men. Oliver Twist is a superb tale. whether, some human beings do no longer relish Charles Dickens' very descriptive prose. i like it. Treasure Island is an incredibly stable journey tale. Gulliver's Travels is the two very long and extremely stable. even with the undeniable fact that there is journey, it incredibly is greater parody and satire with many layers to it. Jekyll and Hyde and Dracula are the two Gothic in nature and extremely exciting. you won't be in a position to bypass incorrect examining any of those on your checklist. It relies upon on which variety is greater beautiful to you. Whichever you go with for, i'm hoping you relish it.

Frankenstein by Shelly, and The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald are some of my favorites and they're all fairly short and not too difficult to get through.

"The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James is a very good ghost story novella about a governess who thinks that she's seeing ghosts. It was made into a movie called "The Innocents".
Happy reading to you! :-)
