Is Bob Wills still the king inTexas or has country music been replaced by country mayham?

Bob Wills is still the king...though there may be those that would dispute it..move over until those of us in our late 40's and 50's die...because if you have been raised by country music..then you know that Bob Wills is still the king!!!!!!!!!

Bob Wills will always be the king for me. In TX they have a Bob Wills festival. I have always wanted to go but have not gotten too. One of my friends that plays the fiddle in a country band goes there every year, so yeah "Bob Wills is still the King". I can't imagin anybody who grew up in TX or OK not knowing who Bob was and not loving at least one of his songs.

Nope - my guess is most people don't even know who
Bob Wills is. If it weren't for Waylon, a lot more people wouldn't know.

I'm not from Texas, but I know there are a lot of guys that would like to be king down there - Pat Green, Lyle Lovett, Charlie Robison, etc...

Bob Wills will ALWAYS be the King.... It is from his music that Texas music is derived...... any other kind is not Texas Music.
