Objectivism I really dont see too many liberals really 'getting'

And to the comment that Ayn thought that rich people were better able to help poor people than the governent. well... they are actually, but that wasnt her point.

Baltek: that would be Dagny Taggart. I wanted to BE her. What a kickass woman. Though, I must admit, I couldn't make it through all of Atlas Shrugged... eventually I was bored to tears.

But to answer the question (sort of), I know conservatives as well as liberals who love Ayn Rand, and hate Hillary Clinton. I don't think being a strong woman has anything to do with it.

Al Cracka Ayn Rand is an author. She wrote Atlas Shrugged shoot help me out people my mind just went blank. Anyhow great writer with profound thoughts. I never thought that is why conservatives disliked her. This word "hate" you use so freely. You may want to think twice on flinging such an ugly word around.
Hmm you got to love all these opinoins.

Most liberals love Ayn Rand. They actually understand what she is trying to say.

A point nicely made. It won't stop neocons from slurring Hillary Clinton.

By the way, Ayn Rand was a bad writer whose style can only be described as "kitsch."

Personally, I dislike her first because she was a lousy writer, regardless of her politics. I then dislike her because her political viewpoint was simplistic and unrealistic. None of liberal dislike for her has anything to do with her gender.

Please, however, don't say that conservatives are accepting of women in non-traditional roles, unless those women happen to toe the party line. If Rand had happened to write from a liberal viewpoint, conservatives would attack her not only for her politics, but also for her gender.

Their suspicions may be according to genuine information, as she did no longer look very drawn to helping others, yet you do no longer might desire to be a brat to each physique. heavily. i've got considered lots of of those posts i'm in simple terms unwell of them. No shaggy dog tale. it particularly is remarkable. are you able to all in simple terms close THE HELL UP and stop hating on human beings?

I believe the disrespect for Ayn Rand lay in that all of her 'philosophy' was in fictional works instead of non-fiction. That and her ideas of the rich being more able than government to aid the poor is absolute idiocy.

I'm acutally quite fond of her strength. I think it was misdirected, but I like tough women.
Come to think of it, I was damn-near in love with the female lead in Atlas Shrugged...

What was her name again? Its been since freshman year of highschool that I read it.
