You know what, I agree. Even getting pregnant at 19 or 20 can be hard. I was married with my first pregnancy for almost a year. I wish I would have waited until after I was 21, maybe 25 or so. There are a lot of things that most people want to do before they get tied down to a child. It's not as easy as you think to find babysitters to go out and have a good time. It can be a strain on a brand new relationship, making dates and intimacy complicated. Everything you do has to be planned there is no more spontaneity. I love my kids with all my heart. But there have been many times where I have regretted starting as young as I did. I have a good job with minimal schooling after high school, but I probably could have accomplished more if I hadn't started as young as I did.

keysfergy is a liar, first of all.
check out her q&a's.
second, your right.
when these teens give in to their hormones, they dont think about what could happen in the future.
quite a few teens just want is right here, right now, and we'll decide when we come to that bridge.
its true, some teens do give their kids a good life, but they most likely couldve given their kids a much better one if they had waited or used protection.
but most dont realize how much work a baby is.
it is a living human being, and at least an 18 year contract, if not a 22+ one.
the amount of sacrifices they will have to make are phenomenal, and generally, the people who wont even consider adoption dont think about that and how much the better the kids life would be if they did.
that just my 2 cents.

It is so sad when I come on here and not only is a teen pregnant, but they did it on purpose! It wouldn't be so bad if they were out of school and had a job but a lot of them just say, "Well, I want a baby, I think it would be fun. My mom can pay for it. Money? My parents will eventually get over it and pay for the child. I don't need to worry. Housing? I'll just stay with my parents. Don't worry I'll finish school because my mom will watch my baby all day. Or she could pay for day care. If they get sick? My mom knows what to do, I'm not worried, I just want to play with it." What really disturbs me is that teens are not scared of STDs at all! Their biggest worries when they have unprotected sex are pregnancy. It's always "Am I pregnant?!" instead of, "Could I have an STD from not protecting myself?" Some teens can be very responsible parents but when they are 14 or 15 and trying to get pregnant in their freshman year of high school I just have NO sympathy for them.

Your parents are lucky, most teenage couples don't stay together. Most teen girls that get pregnant are stuck to raise the baby on their own. I'm happy it worked out for your family but the truth is it's a one in a million chance that a teen moms life goes the way your moms did. Your father is a good man who did what was right and your lucky to have a father like him.

not a good idea, what they have to realize is its not a doll you can toss to the side when your bored, its for the rest of your life, there are no breaks, no naps, no life. and its no longer about you its about the life that you brought into the world and you have to remember they didnt ask to be brought here. you become completely responsible for another human being, and its not an easy job. just think when all your friends are going to parties and hanging out, you wont be, youll be at home with a baby. while motherhood is great and i love it, it is alot of work, and make sure you have lived your life and are ready to take on such a huge responsibility and make sure that the daddy will be there, theres to many children these days with an absentee parent. its not fair to the children.

That is what a life.
But unfortunatly if teens, well im a teen, but
thats what is going to happen.
I mean, getting pregnant when you are still
in highschool, to me, is a bad idea.
I think you need to finish school and at least
try college. You want to have a good life for your
kids right? well Then you need to wait, until you
are absolutely postive you want it, and that you
are able to support them.
Until then, use birth control and condoms!

Us teens only think about now instead of the future, so you teens having sex because it feels good now but don't realize what they are doing.
