Well it's in my Biology book, so I put it in Biology.

Organic compounds are produced by living things. Inorganic compounds are produced by non-living natural processes or by human intervention in the laboratory.

Inorganic compounds can form salts. Organic compounds can't.

Organic compounds contain carbon. Inorganic compounds don't.

Organic compounds contain carbon-hydrogen bonds. Inorganic compounds don't.

Inorganic compounds contain metal atoms. Organic compounds don't.

Human body is made of organic compounds. What we eat is also organic. As food and drink gets into our system, it goes through a lot of chemical reactions ( as a result organic formulations break down to many little parts / inorganic compounds ). BTW, human waste is mostly inorganic.
What I am trying to say here is: organic substances are made of many inorganic parts. What unites most of the organic formulas is carbon & hydrogen skeleton ( inorganic formulations don't have it ). That would be the most important difference between the two.
Interesting question about all chemicals having something in common. Let's see: that would be the use of all of the chemical elements ( but not at the same time ) in their formulas ( including carbon ). I hope that was helpful .

Inorganic compounds do not contain carbon whereas organic compounds do. Both inorganic and organic compounds are used in chemical reactions, can be used to obtain pharmaceuticals, and adhere to the properties of chemical bonding.

That's about all I can think of.

organic and organic compounds are molecules with a carbon-hydrogen bond. Inorganic molecules are molecules with out that form of bond. that's acceptable to maximum issues yet like each and everything in chemistry it has some exceptions
