When Jack Reed quotes Al-Quaida when addressing congress to convice them to bring the troops home?

He used a statement from Al-Quaida that infered we are making it easier for Al-Quaida to wage war being there and that if we left Al-Quaida would be at a disadvantage.

Al-Quaida is telling the truth; yet you believe Bush is a liar???

Bush is a liar. This is not our fault. It is our problem however.

Dumb question because it is loaded to begin with with assumptions such as:
-"the 'Republican Party' isn't running a liberal, nation building, giant government platform which you claim is the monopoly of "liberal" Democrats.
-that finding a way to pull out of a war is "unpatriotic". Does that mean Nixon was "unpatriotic" for pulling out of Vietnam? Have you heard the saying that "someone cuts their nose off to spite their face"? Pouring more money and more soldiers into a war that is a bad idea is a good analogy for that saying.
-that listening to what your enemy's rationale is a bad idea? That's just dumb and doesn't jive with the claims for the need to spy on the enemy, does it?

Here's a question for you? Does US troops being closer to where Al CIAda is make is easier for them to target the troops? Of course...it's simple logistics.

There is no need to defend unpatriotic behavior. There will always be dissenters against the USA going to war in another country. Part of the culture to have rebels against those in power. Just learn to accept someone, somewhere in this country will stand up and yell 'thats not right!'

OK...so what's with all the right wing republicans out there that seem to think that anyone that is against the war in Iraq or questions Bush's administration is unpatriotic or pro-terrorist. How quickly we forget that speaking out against decisions our government makes that we don't agree with is one of the ideals this country was founded on. I don't know how much more patriotic then that it gets!

they think of it is unconstitutional for terrorists to be held without an ordeal. needless to say they pass over the plain reality that the folk being held at the instant are not individuals which the form protects. The shape says no longer something approximately giving rights to non individuals.

It like looking at a skunk and calling it a dog. If these people say and do it enough, people will believe them and follow them blindly.

I think Nixon had the right Idea many years ago, just didn't name all the right people. He was asked about the back grounds and intent of the media, and his comment " I believe most of them are card carrying communists". What the big Dick should have said, " they and most of the Congressman in Washington are a bunch of card carrying communists."

Tell you what, since your side started it by continuously claiming that Al-Quaed said they'd prefer a Democrat to win the presidency, I guess we're both saying they can be taken at their word.

Checked the poll numbers lately? Do you feel the irrelevance just creeping up your pant leg like a fire ant?

They deny it. They get some much media coverage, they sound to me like the Nazis. Tell a lie long enough and it becomes the truth.
