The reason I am asking is because my husband is always arguing with me saying he is tired of me "hardly ever putting out anymore". And the thing that blows my mind is that we have sex at least three or four times a week. He seems to think that everybody has more sex than him. Married people, please tell me how often you have sex.

It's not that the sex is not good; it is. But he expects it every day, and when you have kids, that is just not realistic.

Everyones different, I would tell him he is very lucky the average is about 2 times a month. All people have a different
drives, whats a lot for one person may be not enough for another. He needs to respect your limmits. Like Pink says in her song "just you and your hand tonight"

I have often found that grown men never quite give up the "locker room talk" of their youth. My married women friends and I often have a good laugh over the way from time to time each of us is getting grief from our husband about not being as sexually active as every other couple on the street. Each one of us has been told by our husband that every other wife is putting out way more than we are. Yet we compare notes, and NO WAY is anybody's husband getting that much sex.
I think married men do not admit to each other their sex lives are anything less than nonstop 24 hours a day. So each one of them goes home after listening to these "locker room tales" thinking that they are getting less sex from their wives than all the other husbands.
In reality, most couples have different sex drives. It takes lots of communication and patience to find a compromise. Any number of times can be normal if the couple agrees that's the number that works for them.

Expect sex? Never. Want sex? Always. I got lucky in this department. As much as I love having sex with my wife, she loves it more. We've been married for ten years and still have sex often. Sometimes more than once a day. So for three weeks a month we fool around all the time. As for the other week, no hanky panky while Aunt Flow is visiting.lol

Ok this family therapist is discussing this same question with an all male audiance. He polls the group: "How many have sex every night?"........a few raise their hands. "How many have sex 4- 5 times a week?".........quite a few more. "How many 5-6 times a month?"........more raise their hands. All the while he is noticing a thin middle aged guy a few rows back on the edge of his seat & very enthusiastic. "How many every couple of months?"......a few raise their hands. "OK how many of you have sex once a year?", this guy start waving his hand wildly in the air. The therapist says: "Sir, that really is not the norm for most married couples, why are you so happy?" The guy jumps to his feet and exclaims "Tonight's' the night, tonight's".
Sorry, by mutual agreement, you & he need to compromise on this issue. What's normal for one of us will be too little or too much for another. Work it out with him. Be frank.

I think that 3-4 a week is normal. For some reason my wife wants more sex than i do. So i really dont have that problem. I think all couples are different. I also think alot of men lie about how much sex they really have.

first of all.... HOw long have you been married?
B/c when you are going on 10 years married, 3 times a week means there is something wrong with you. lol.
Maybe he is a sex addict.
Sometimes me and hubby have sex like 3 times a month! But we have kids.
Dont have sex just to make him happy, only have sex when the mood is right.

I'm with the first girl " everyday if possible" Three or four times a week shouldn't be a problem though.

3-4 times a week is great, if your guy thinks thats too little hes nuts!!!

with two young kids, work, and everything else that goes on everyday, You are lucky to get 3-4 times a week.
Sure everyone would love to get it everyday, it just is not always possible.
