Sweetie, at 11 years old it is very possible to know what you want to do careerwise. However, it is also possible to want something so much that you don't focus on what can help you in the long run. Just because an agent wants to sign you does not mean he/she is a good agent or the agent for you. Trust mom on this one, since she has more experience reading people and possibly sniffing out scams and con artists (and show biz is full of those!). You sound eager to act. Join an acting group or start your own until you and your mom find an agent. Have your mom be your agent!!! Keep the money in the family!! Maybe invest in an acting class (my best friend acts in L.A. and she went to college for fine arts to learn more about acting). It's good that you like to dance. How is your voice? Can you sing? You must be able to if you were cast in Annie. My last peice of advice, and do not take offense: you should read more and practice writing and spelling more (a lot of mistakes in your short question: muscle, taken instead of tooken, one instead of on, it's instead of is, postponed instead of posted). An actress must be worldly and know about many things and many cultures, so that if she is asked to do something (such as say something in French or act like a poor beggar woman from Poland or act like a Prima Donna from Beverly Hills or a scientist from Alabama) she can do it because she knows about those things or things like that. Your spelling will get better the more that you read, and please don't tell me you don't like reading, because you have to read your scripts!!!! Good luck, Abbey. With determination, the support of your family for those 4 hour trips, and a little more work on your part, your dream can be yours. Here's hoping you become the next Julia Roberts, Demi Moore, Hallie Berry, or whoever you admire (as long as it's not Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, or the dreaded Paris "no talent" Hilton!!)

look, it's not that easy to answer from reading what someone writes!
you are the right person for an acting job if:
1. you have the passion!!!!! do you? do you really love acting and dancing and all that??? or do you just want fame and fortune??? true passion is what you NEED!
2. you have some of that "natural talent"...sure, no matter what, you can inprove in acting and dancing, but most actors have at least some sort of natural talent.
3. you have the desire to learn more and work hard and take direction from ppl...
now, you are only 11, so don't worry...you still have much to learn...just participate in school plays and stuff...you never know when you'll get "discovered"....just wait....when you're 18, you can take yourself to hollywood or go to college and learn more about the art of acting...the more you learn, the better you will become!
but remember!!!!!! you need the PASSION!!! never do it for the fame and fortune, but for the passion!!!! to express yourself in an artistic way!!!
just give it time
and good luck, babe!

If you have an acting teacher, ask him or her where to find an agent.
Most kids do NOT have a Talent Agent,
they have a Talent Manager NOT a Talent Agent. The manger finds acting roles for the actor.

You have all the skills, but nothing of the job talent....sorry... :-(
Most kids start really young doing commercials, then kid shows, have you seen Zach and Cody on Disney, yes?
Brenda Song and Tiffany,,,,...something, they are really good singers, and they started out young. Now that they have a kids resume, they are set for life....
Parents: if you want your kids to be in shows, commercialize them, make them appear everywhere. Resumes are important for your husband's bank job, so even more important for kid actors.......

find a community theater near you so you can get some experience and if your hitting it off then you can think bigger but one play won't land you an agent
