Just that way - take the emotion out of it and call her or when she comes by - ask her about the situation and let her know that she hurt your feelings when she lied to you and why did she feel that it was necessary to lie? Then wait for her response. Then let her know that when she lies it makes you distrust her and you want for her to remain friends but this lying thing has to stop.

There is really no straight answer to that. You would know her better than anyone that is going to answer this question. The way I would approach her is the same way that you would any other time. Just act like you want to talk to her and then confront her about what she did.

The only way is to approach her direct...don't beat around the bush. Let her know how you feel. If she's going to be lying to your face, she's not much of a friend.

don't jump down her throat right away. ask if you misunderstood or did she really say this and mean this. then if she still is lying (or lying about lying before) let her know how you feel. try not to lose your temper. start out giving her the benefit of the doubt, but don't let her walk on you.

With grace and tact of you want the friendship to continue.
If you dont care, then tell her she's a liar, and you wont be friends with a liar. Then shut up and walk away.

Be respectful, ask her aside, and calmly and evenly explain her lies and your knowledge of the truth. Don't get hot-headed, just let her plead her case. Keep it calm so she'll know she can really tell you what's going on.

Do it conversationally - don't make a big confrontation. And hear her out; there may have been a "good" reason for the lie.

Do it in private. Tell her that as best friends you're hurt that she would lie to you. Give her a chance to explain why she did. Perhaps it was to save you pain.

get over it and be friends. Why talk about it? It's probably something small. Talk about fun stuff and go out somewhere fun instead.
