Also, what about employment? I currently work in patient accounting at a hospital. Any good medical facilities there to which I could apply?

Hello there.

I am a littleton resident. It is a fantastic city with a cute main street, and many lovely houses.

I also love littleton because it has a train line that runs straight to downtown. This makes commuting to the city simple.

We have several medical facilities in, and near littleton including, Swedish Hospital, Littleton Hospital, And Sky Ridge medical center.

Our weather is much different than florida's. We do get quite a bit of snow... in fact this winter we had snow on the ground for 3 months straight. Highs in the winter are generally in the 30's.

Our summers are genrally quite lovely with relatively low humidity, and only a little bit of rain.

Spring and fall are both cool (mid 50's to 60's highs)

You are from florida so most of our seasons will seem cold compared to your weather!

One other thing... the answerer above me stated that we get 300 days of sunshine a year. That is not true. NOAA Estimates that we get about 250 sunny days. Still lovely weather either way!!

I've found that living is colorado is cheaper than florida. We have lower taxes etc.

Overall littleton is a great city with fantastic parks, homes and schools.

Try skiing sometime too!

PS - Feel free to pm me if you need any additional info.

Littleton is a great place -- I love it here!

Tons of medical facilities including Skyridge Hospital and Littleton Hospital in the north/east part of Littleton. Depending on county (Arapahoe, Douglas or Jefferson) you will find other medical facilities nearby as well.

We are about 20 minutes from downtown Denver and depending on what part of Littleton you are moving to, you can reach the mountains in 20-30 minutes.

You get 4 seasons/year here as well and typically the summer is 90 degrees with little to no humidity. Yes it snows in the winter, but typically melts the next day. We get 300 days of sunshine/year as well.

Great schools, great people, great weather - congratulations and welcome!

Littleton is a nice, quiet suburb. Its mostly family-oriented, with a couple bars (but from what I hear, they are mostly older, divorced single places). Good schools and outdoor spaces. Yes, there are several hospitals. I am unsure about their employment needs but check the websites for the ones that have been mentioned above. Take advantage of the Light Rail, its a great way to get to downtown.

Good Luck and welcome!

I work in the Littleton area .You'll like living there. The weather and altitude will get taking use to. High and dry so drink plenty of water every day and take it slow for a couple of weeks untill you get adjusted to the altitude. check out
