So the Democrats want to make it possible for you and me to be sued when we report suspicious behavior which we observe in our everyday lives and we believe might pose a threat to our fellow citizens.
The Republicans want to make sure you are immune from prosecution for reporting your suspicions.

I am proud to be a democrat.
I am not proud of this action.
I am a patriot, I support freedom of speech (for everyone, including republican talk radio), I support freedom of expression (including for Christian fundamentalists), and I support equality (not special rights for special groups).
We've gotten away, further and further, from these values, when we were the ones who made them household values! That was one of the greatest political successes in the history of this great country!
Instead, we've turned toward socialism and sedition.
See me. There are patriots here, including amongst those protesting this war. People who put this country first ahead of their personal ideologies. Patriots who disagree with you, but treat our representatives respectfully and aren't political bigots.
You're heading down that path. You have a lot to be upset about. As an old-fashioned democrat, I do, too.
Don't join the bigots. Keep speaking up about what's right (even "Right").
It is not wrong to give these Imam's their day in court. It is wrong to treat them, or the brave citizens who spoke up about what they saw, as "Guilty until proved innocent".
Let the court do their job. They should both have their day in court.
This is an obvious (whether this specific case is about it or not) step to be taken in the war on terror by our enemies.
This is what having a free society is all about. The alternative is to deny them access to the courts because they are Islamic. The alternative as democrats is to leave them to fight on their own in a country already (understandably) against them.
I wouldn't volunteer for that duty myself, but I support the right of those who did.
I don't think I'd want to live in a country that didn't respect our Constitution. I hope the Imams lose, however.
I have faith our courts will act accordingly.
Keep speaking up, everyone. Democrats serve a purpose like Republicans. We are brakes and gas together, which we need no matter what direction we go.
Now if I can just get my party off this socialism kick, I'll be happy.
