Drawing a top 10 list of grunge hits is tough...

Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden
Heart-Shaped Box - Nirvana
Jesus Christ Pose - Soundgarden
Rusty Cage - Soundgarden
Alive - Pearl Jam
Big Bang Baby - Stone Temple Pilots
Down In A Hole - Alice in Chains
No Excuses - Alice in Chains
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
We Die Young - Alice in Chains

In no given order, but those are my top 10

Alice in Chains are not grunge. The got labelled grunge because of the era, because they were from Seattle and because they shared managers/producers and other staff with Pearl Jam. They're alternative metal, the guitars have too many riffs and are too heavy to be grunge, which was an off-shoot of alternative rock. Soundgarden are disputably grunge, Badmotorfinger sounds more like Black Sabbath than Mudhoney or the Pixies.

Btw sylvia - isn't Nearly Lost You a Screaming Trees song?

Nirvana - Drain You
Pavement - Summer Babe
Blind Melon - No Rain
Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock
Pearl Jam - Leash
Stone Temple Pilots - Where The River Goes
Mad Season - River of Deceit
Temple of the Dog - Hunger Strike
The Breeders - Metal Man
Screaming Trees - Disappearing

For the most part I like your list too. Any song off Soundgarden - Superunknown or Ten - Pearl Jam is good. I would get the track lists from those albums and get the ones you don't have. Maybe you'd like 311? They had some fun songs in the 90s. Other bands I liked in the 90s: Screaming Trees Mudhoney REM (try the Automatic For The People album)
