That is a tough question to answer -- particularly because each of our answers may depend on how we "project" intention on to you -- are you a concerned/confused Christian? Do you really want an answer? Or are you trying to throw gas onto flames? I don't know. Expecting the worst, hoping for the best....

Anyway, I can quote you an answer from the Catholic Catechism, but it may not work for you if you are one of the many flavors of Protestantism.

As a physician, I can argue there are times that it can be healing (but as far as I know, this is not "evidence based," just theoretical) as well as quote you from the DSM-V (the bible of psychiatry) related conditions that are illnesses.

As a Christian (not very good one, btw, so take it for what its worth)...this is a gray zone, ultimately between you and God.
The best advice I could give someone is do what you think Jesus would do...and something tells me he spent alot more time praying than self-gratifying.

Have you noticed how some religions only talk about what you can't do, and try to get everyone into a guilt trip? Do you believe that doing something that does not harm anyone can be a sin? You are not involving anyone, it is just you alone. God gave you a sex drive and tells you not to use it outside of marriage, okay, having sex would involve others, but masturbation is a solo act. Instead of seeking advise from people on this site talk to yourself, that is the only one you really need to make happy. You can not make everyone happy and should not try to.

Masturbation is not a sin unless you are Catholic or in some cult. Nowhere in the Bible is there anything about not masturbating.

A male that is not sexually active needs to have an ejaculation every month or risk health problems. Some men get aches after only a couple of weeks without. God wouldn't punish men for obeying.

The Bible doesn't talk about masturbation. If you do it too much some Christians might say you are idolizing your penis(if your a guy) which is a sin. I doubt most people think its a big sin, just kind of disgusting.

Masturbation is not a sin.

You're pleasing yourself. You're not cheating on anyone.

There is no harm in it.

Anyone who says it is a sin, does not know any better. Ignore them. Nowhere in the Bible does it say masturbation is a sin.

Anything in excess can be a sin. If you are obsessed with it and it has taken over your whole life, then it might be a problem for you. Otherwise, no it isn't a sin.

Masturbation is not a sin. It's natural and not bad for any one. But keep your nails or dildo clean. Because these uncleaned can make infection or hurt.

If masutrbation is to be considered a sin, it has to be less of sin then pre-marital sex. If you're married then isn't masturbation a part of marital sex. In a round-about kind of way?
