They say "Money is the root of all evil." Have you ever thought about if life would be easier without money?

There are pros and cons to everything especially when it comes to money... I suppose if people were not fighting over money they'd be fighting over cows and sheep. Or if not that, something else. I just wondered this because money is so frustrating, its good when you have it, but can't really grasp enough of it to really hold on to. Sometimes I wonder if it was meant for us humans to have money in the first place. I don't think animals need money in the animal kingdom.

No, because honestly, money is the fairest way to put a value on things. For example, if someone came to fix my A.C., should I pay him in eggs, or with a goat?? Yes, the barter system was used before this, and it was woefully inaccurate.
BTW, the Bible verse you are referring to is "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil." It acknowledges that we need money to live, but it should not be the master of our lives!!

I agree that money is the root of all evil in today`s society. The other alternatives would be a barter system or complete communism. I don't see people being willing to trade 1000 sheep for a car or get 'paid' in a stack of goods. It might turn into strange IOUs. 'This Certificate is worth a jacket and two pairs of pants from Wal-mart'.

I think life would be better but certainly not easier.

money is just another way of trade like they used to have, instead of trading money for an item you would have to trade services for an item, and sometimes they require service for a very long time, they used to require for years and years upon end.

and Yes because no more bank robberies and no more killing each other for money, people don't understand that money isn't everything money is a great value but we won't particularly die if we don't have millions and that's the american dream and it shouldn't be.

I've thought about it a lot actually. Life would absolutely be easier without money. I think we could find many ways to survive without money and I think people would get along with each other better too. You'd have to barter to exchange things instead of using money.....
