Because your buying a product that someone else made. Same concept for everything else that you buy. Everyone has to make money somehow. Why should you get the money for something that someone put their time and hard work into? Do you think musicians don't also struggle financially like everyone else?

To be honest, singers make the most money doing shows and concerts. So, it wouldn't be much sweat off their back if they're CDs don't sell good. However, if that is the case, they could get dropped from their label! :P

I haven't paid for a CD in 15 years, but I do spend a crapload on concerts :(

bcuz we r there lives they want us to buy it if we didnt buy it they wont make money.its a fair traid, u give money they give u music. simple think about it
