Years ago, in Lansing, MI, there were some tornadoes that flew over the house.

Once, I was in mobile home. Furniture went bump bump bump across the floor and back again. Home was rocking. Sky was green, purple & black. Even my 2 yr old was crying. .... When it was over, our front steps were in the neighbor's yard, our garbage pail wedged between the steps so hard it took 2 guys to pull it out. TV antenna was gone. Storage shed was flattened.
That was not fun.

Hurricanes.

I live in Florida.

That said, I've lived in Western Michigan, and I find it difficult to believe that a thunderstorm was worse than a blizzard! That must have been some t-storm!

A hail storm. I live in Colorado and a few months ago we had a hail storm that covered our streets and made it look like it had snowed. It shut down one of our major highways due to flooding (it rained and rained). Or I would have to say the blizzard we had 2 days before Christmas. We got about 4 feet of snow in 24 hours.

well, i live in pa now, but years ago, when i lived in oklahoma, (big mistake) and when i was 9 months pregnant with my first child. i went thru a tornado by myself. i had no clue what was going on, all i knew was it was stormy as heck, then dead calm, then the storm picked up again. i knew something was wrong, because chickens do no spin in circles thru the air. i didnt know enough to find a basement, luckily, the tornado stopped just right above me. tore the crap out of the house about a half a block from me. it seemed like forever before somebody finally decided to come check on me. i ended up going to the hospital, because i was shocked when i stepped on a wire, baby hasnt moved for awhile. luckily the baby was fine. then her e in pa, there was the hurricane remmnant a couple of years ago.

I live in eastern MI, and had a Tornado go right over the house I was in. It tore a 40' limb off our oak tree and dumped it on my mom's car. It was cool and scary at the same time.
