When a telemarketer calls you, and you ask for their name and employee ID number, isn't there a law that states they must give it to you? I just received my fourth telemarketing call on my cell phone, after requesting to be put on the Do Not Call list, FROM my cell phone carrier, and the man refused to give me his ID number. I thought they had to give it to you if you asked- or is it just government agencies that have to?

Thank you for the answers so far. I wanted to add that the last two phone calls I have received, the callers have been very rude and have had a very curt attitude. I understand this is how some people make a living, but they should at least be nice.
