Back when the first film came out, a lot of females I knew thought Spidey in the films was really hot. Then the second came out and they all thought he was instead cute. Whereas now that the third film's come out they aren't attracted much at all......it boggles the mind! so can females plz answer the above question to put my mind at rest. thx very much if you answer (P.S. I know how dumb a question this is).

It's really 'simple' when you think about it. In the first Spiderman, Tobey McGuire was a 'relatively unknown' actor, so the females thought he was 'hot' ... in the second movie he was 'better known' (from the first movie and other stuff he'd done) so he was 'downgraded' to 'cute.' In the third movie, he's 'well known' as Spiderman, but he's so 'familiar' that he doesn't 'rate' any 'good response.' Your question isn't 'dumb' at all ... you are actually 'inquiring' about a 'fun' subject ... why a man can be 'most sexy' one year, and three years later he isn't even 'considered' sexy at all! It's like a marriage ... during the engagement, your partner is the 'sexiest thing alive.' Right after the wedding, your partner goes from being 'sexy' to being 'cute' ... and after awhile, your partner just seems to 'fade into the background' if it's not TRUE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE ... if you have that, you can fall 'into' and 'out of' love every day or so, but the 'true love' lasts forever and beyond.'

He was never attractive and all the people that said he was are just starting to realize it. The erotic scene from the first movie where they kiss upside down in the rain is somewhat titilating and perhaps this is what fooled people into thinking he had sex appeal. By the time the second movie came out they didn't want to admit they were wrong so they changed it to "cute." The downgrade to "cute" was because they milked the nerdiness of Peter Parker more than they did in the previous film. Since Spiderman 3 was devoid of all sex appeal they are realizing that he was never hot and it was just movie magic and the storyline that made him attractive. Also, he was really cut and muscled in the first film and they showed it whereas in the later films... not so much.

To be totally honest....NO he wasn't hot in the first nor cute in the second and i still say as the third came out...he don't float my boat, tickle my fancy, nor is he eye candy in my opinion, but now Matt Damon.... now thats a sexy hot cute fine mmmmm he can drive my boat while i push kinda guy hmmmm

At first they were young enough to think it made them like Kirsten Dunst to act like they thought he was hot, second they are older now & too cool so he is just cute. and third, they have grown up so, its just that simple. He was always just cute, I mean I can't tell him apart from Eric on the seventies show? Same guy?

Well you see in the first one he went from nerdy to hott and so when he did they showed him with his shirt off and in this case made him seem more hott!in the second one he just kept taking off his mask and look sorta like just peter parker the nerd still...and in the 3rd one he looked sorta like a sk8ter but was so much like a jerk it took all the hottness and smexyness away.... :| there for you have's your answer :D
and in the first one he had more of a romantic line and in the third one he is just... a jerk..... movie magic suck's when you figure it out :[

He was cute in the black suit wit his hair- he looked kinda sk8r & all.. otherwise hes not hot... its a no brainer
