If you're at all interested in acting, you should go ahead and try.
Getting the audition, is sometimes the hardest part... and you've already got that.
Experience or not, just make sure you're polite and pleasant when you go.
I've gotten to sit on the other side of the casting table... and I've gotten to see a lot of actors audition. The biggest thing I learned is that even if you don't get cast, it doesn't mean you did a bad job. In fact, at the audition I sat in on, the best actor that came in... didn't get cast. Sometimes it's about the look the director has in mind and chemistry between the actors... sometimes it's as stupid as... will this actor fit into the costume we already have?
Just go, do your best, and try to have fun. Don't get upset if you're not cast, it's usually not a reflection on your talent... there are a lot of things going into casting. Just make sure you're very pleasant, because besides talent and look, the director is looking for someone they want to work with.
Go for it.
And Break a Leg!!!

Also, go in as prepared as possible... and don't second guess yourself.

Sorry to be the Wet Blanket, but here it is:
With NO experience, you have NO chance of passing the audition. You are going against young girls who have been raised from infancy to pass auditions.
This is not to say they are talented, or even good, just that Mama has groomed them since the Zygote stage.
This Mommy/Daughter combo is ruthless, viscious, and inevitably Talentless.
Beware, and take heed.. They will, given the slightest weakness on your part, destroy you.
Go ahead, make a fool of yourself. You will survive. I have been a risible a** at many an audition, and yet, I work when I feel like it.
Act for fun, not for competition: you are not ready.

Amy:
If you really want to act then take any 'gig' that allows you to learn some phase of the biz. Auditions are not to show someone how you can act, usually you don't know what the part is anyway. It does let you show yourself, how you handle the stress, and how confident you are among your peers.Try to get info on the works done by the company, it will give you a clue as to what they are looking for in an actor.

Well, if you always backed down in fear of making a fool of yourself you won't really ever be able to break out at all. Take that knot in your stomach and turn it into drive. Run the theme song for Chariots of Fire or Rocky though your head. Muster up the gusto and go for it. Otherwise you will end up going "what if." That is way worse than anything momentarily "embarrassing."

YES go for it.
Ok you've no experience and theres no fast way to experience BUT remember in an audition there is NO time for the casting people to assess your talent.. your self-confidence is what sells u.First impressions last.
Email me..Im a dentist but was heavily involved in professional acting for years while training and still am involved in lots of areas of it.
Many trained experienced talented actors fail at auditions cos of nervousness etc.Best advice is to get out of your own way.A competitive auditionee is not competing against others but themselves to do a personal best.

How can a person with no experiece get audition calls? What kind of auditions are they? Be careful of scams. Do not pay anything to audition and after you do audition do not fall for all the praise and flattery they give you and buy something like acting lessons. I worry about young people getting scam'd.
Filll me in on the details, please at kencosp@aol.com

one of the things i've learned as an actress is you have to reach for things and jump at every opportunity you can. and make sure you always take a friend with you it makes it a lot less stressful to have someone you know well to talk to
