The criminalization of marijuana is incredibly costly, and it is state and local systems that bear the brunt of the federal mandates regarding its criminalization. Eventually, it is simply not going to be cost-effective to continue to incarcerate marijuana users -- at which point decriminalization, if not legalization, will be imminent.

No, it wont. There are far too many people who want it to be illegal in the U.S. These people have nothing better to do with their time than protest. The govt would rather leave things the way that they are rather than to change it and deal with all the headaches from anti-weed protesters. It sucks

Not in the sense that you are thinking that it will be. I know that it is legal to purchase it if you have obtained a card from the doctor stating that you need it because of pain from a disease that you have, but other than that I think you are screwed!

For this reason, the government has spent millions to eradicate it so they will not be seen to start condoning it.
Furthermore they say it one of the main causes of schizophrenia.
maybe they will legalize coke & heroin first because, those drugs are necessary for medicines????
