Personal success means different things depending on the person you ask. I have the money, power and success. But most importantly I am happy. And no one can take that from me.

Personal success is a state of mind, so its definition would vary based on who you ask.
The only thing that we can do to help people be successful is to get out of the way and let them make their own choices and create their own opportunities.
And I don't favor a party currently, but if I had to choose, Republicans are SLIGHTLY more conservative.

I favor the party that allows the individual the freedom to decide that question for himself and to pursue success by any of those definitions:
Libertarian.
Being a Democrat doesn't mean you favor happiness over money - - - it means you don't allow those who favor money to pursue it. It's not about you choosing which of these definitions works for you - it's about you limiting which of these definitions other people are allowed to pursue.
