I had the same issue once before..I serve is great now and it has become a weapon of mine.....

First off u know that when u practice tennis, its only repitiition. So get a basket of balls....if at a club or at a normal park...buy two cases to fill the basket, get cones or cups and place them, once towards the alley, up the middle and another to jam ur oponent.

but practice hitting the ball as hard as you can like you r n a real match, form, and precision. It harder you work and the more you serve, it will hall in. Repitition is the key to tennis. The more the better. just practice....once side 500 times, the ad side 500 times, change sides, again and do the same thing....about 2000 a day for 5 days a week for a few weeks you will see great improvement....

Also remeber to hit the ball about two oclock or 1 depending on ur height. it helps as a windon u know

It may be that you've lost a lot of muscle in that wrist from not using it for so long. Now when you swing your wrist doesn't snap foward like it used to, so your raquet's on a different angle when it contacts the ball, causing you to miss. You can either adjust for this with your toss or swing, or go to the weight room and work on building up that strength again.

Aim small...miss small. Put a plastic cup in diffirent areas of the court that you are trying to hit the ball. Concentrate on hitting the cup and before you know it you will have your aim back.

I would suggest you to try hitting a slow serve because slow serves are easier to control. When you start to feel sure about it just try to hit your serve a little bit faster and continue doing that. After a while i think you'll be able to hit a serve like you used to.

Good Luck!
