No. I think revenge doesn't change the fact that the bad thing has already happened to you. The other part is that you are giving the person that harmed you all of the power over your actions. That is not good either...because then they own you. It is tempting to seek revenge on someone and watch the slow burn that happens...don't get me wrong...but it is better to utilize your time wisely and go forward from the ill that was perpetrated toward you.

O f course not, revenge is an evil human reaction, sadly felt and practiced by almost all humans, however, I firmly believe in a divine justice, and in fact, in the life nothing is free, we are victims of many bad things and unfair behavior from other people, as we can not revenge all what is badly done to us, is better to trust in that divine justice, you can be sure God will take care of that.

Though it is tempting and satisfying to the ego to get revenge, in the long run, it is not a good idea, since true healing comes from forgiveness. And in revenge, there is no forgiveness.

I used to think it was a good idea. But now I know better.
Revenge is not an idea. It's a control mechanism, used to manipulate others into believing that they have that much power over us. I don't like someone having that much power over me. Do you?
Even when I feel I have been justifiably wronged, it's still the same. Being a victim brought me much more pain than I ever needed or wanted.
I generally pray for God's direction.
I pray you make the right choice for you and everyone involved.

Revenge is the quickest thing comes in your mind when you have been treated in an unfair way! Now the thing is, can you defeat that person without revenge? You dont harm him/her and still your revenge has been fullfilled! Yes, there is a way--Patience, and forgiving! !Look its very common suggestion, but try it. When you fight for your right...God leaves it to you , result can be good or bad...........but when you leave it to GOD.......YOU ARE ONLY, THE ULTIMATE AWESOME WINNER!;)

Hm.. it depends on the situation. some situations do call for revenge to show yr not a pushover or wimp about things and that u can, infact, and will, retaliate. other times it's best to just roll w/ it. if the person's a jerk don't hang around him. revenge is bittersweet. it can cause u more harm than good so just watch it is all

"An eye for an eye leaves us all blind." - Mahatma Gandhi.
"The power of forgiveness: I would be more powerful forgiving than I would be by seeking revenge....
Forgiveness is freedom: I believe that forgiveness is giving up the desire for revenge. I see forgiveness as the act of moving away from playing the powerless role of victim....Forgiveness and freedom: I feel that same feeling of powerlessness when I am unwilling to forgive. I am locked into a situation where is nothing that I can do except wait until the person who I am not forgiving does what I demand.
Yet unlike a prison where I have to wait for somebody to let me out, I can let myself out of the prison of unforgiveness any time by simply forgiving. More than forgiveness: I acknowledge those who have the generosity and humility to do whatever it takes to end the resentments and pain. I am inspired by those who can even go beyond that and be grateful for the strength and wisdom that they have gained...".

Light is more powerful than darkness.
Love is more powerful than hatred.
Forgiveness is more powerful than revenge.
Forgiveness is not a passive reaction to move on with
with life.
In my opinion, fogiveness is the highest generosity
a human can give to another human as a human.

No, I'd rather have retribution. But then for some reason I don't ever really need to seek revenge. Bad things always tend to happen to those who screw me over without my doing anything. Usually it's much worse than anything they had done to me. Karma sometimes works wonders.
