Chien Ming Wang is 10-4 he gets wins but doesnt get the key strike outs, the only thing Wang has going for him is the yankee bats. The yanks record is a lot better when he pitches!?!

your out of your mind, and i do not mean to be harsh but for you to seriously ask this question then you must lack knowledge of baseball / Yankees. Wang is one of the best pitchers in baseball, non the less the Yankees ace.
Wangs #'s - 37-15 3.68 ERA (should be goin down after todays game hes pitching a 6 inning shutout so far) Also Wang has been ranked top 3 i believe since he first started pitching in 2005 in ground ball outs.
Igawa's #'s - 2-2 with a 6.98 ERA. The japan stats dont matter...they do not play in Japan anymore therefore those stats mean nothing. Igawa is not a good pitcher, he was the Yankees answer to the red sox for Matsuzaka. Im a huge Yankees fan and i was angry when they signed Igawa, because he was just a rebuttle to the Sox who got payed wayyy to much $.
Wang > Igawa

OMG, that is ridiculous. Wang has been in the top 5 for the Cy Young Award the past two seasons and Igawa is struggling to stay on the major league roster! I don't care what Igawa did in Japan. This is The Major Leagues!

Wang has shown himself to be an exact of the rotation guy, yet has had complication on the mound considering that '08. As of now, i will see a team with a stable protecting squad offering him a a million or 2 year contract with innings pitched based incentives. Igawa on the different hand, is a guy who the Yankees spent enormous dollars on, yet hasn't paid off. He has an entire life era that lingers above 6.6 and batters have considered him properly (.302 baa). If Igawa wasn't already 30, i could say his wild numbers would desire to be led to by a loss of teenage league seasoning, yet that needless to say isn't the case. In my very own opinion, if I have been a supervisor i could extremely have Wang at my disposal than Igawa.

This has got to be a trick question......as the question is worded Yankee starter.... first off we are not in Japan, we are talking who is better in Major League Baseball in North America. I will have to argue with you, Igawa is lucky to get into the 4th inning, while Wang can sometimes pitch a complete game, this saves your bullpen. Wang has proven he is a winner in the majors, while Igawa is a minor leaguer at best.

Chieng Mieng Wong is WAY better. Igawa recently got shipped to the minors. Right now its like comparing Johan Santana by Jeff Weaver. Wang won 19 games last year and he is a beast. Igawa has soft stuff that ends up 500 feet into tne upper deck at least 3 times a game.

Wang by far is the better of the two, it is not even close. Igawa has not demonstrated he has the ability to consistently get major league hitters out while Wang won 19 games for the Yankees last year..

Wang definitely he has played better this year. as far as the 3.13 ERA for Kei in Japan...that was in Japan and he has yet to do that here. In fact i had both on my fantasy baseball team and I dropped Kei within the first month of the season he was doing so poorly and bring my score down. currently Kei had an 6.97 ERA while Wang has a 3.43 ERA

What a guy did in Japan doesn't count in the majors. This year Igawa has been awful. Wang is better - no contest.
