When I got back from lunch I had this thin, hot pink line down my computer screen. I restarted my computer, but it's still there. It's really thin, but I still notice it. Does this mean there's a big problem? And if so, with what? Any takers?

It sounds like you have a dead column driver for a column of green pixels.

If it is under warranty then get it repaired, if not it is probably cheaper to get a new monitor.

You screen is busted there is nothing you can do it should not be a problem. There are thousands of little light bulbs in you computer screen and just like christmas lights if you break one the whole strand is dead. you probably toched the screen? A replacement could cost over $100.00

Bring up the OSD menu and see if the line runs through that. If it does then you have a dead column/row driver and need to get the monitor replaced.
