paying for the repairs? Dealership is saying it's not their problem, although the svc manager is trying to get some of it covered by the manufacturer, owner of dealership doesn't care. Thoughts? Input? Worthy of small claims court? What would you do?

The person who hit your car is responsible. If they are not available, it probably depends on local law. I think (but am not sure) the dealership is responsible because they had posession of the car, which is different than if you had just parked it in a public parking lot.

that's precisely why I refuse to tow something to a closed dealership, there is not any chain of custody. I p.c.. your automobile as much as tow it, and we the two look and be conscious any harm. I take it to the broker who signs and indicators off that if arrived there with out harm different than as noted by you and me on the pickup, and that i'm off the hook for any next harm. If I drop it with out one there, for all the broker is accustomed to I broke it towing it, and that i'm on the hook for harm. additionally, maximum fix shops and sellers have "not in charge for..." signs and indicators up which limits their criminal accountability in the event that they have taken 'known precautions' along with your automobile.
