Yes, I tell them yo wait for the beep and beep, then when they are in the middle of talking I beep and tell them they can now record there message. then as they talk again I hang up.

No I haven't but I think I might.. lol sounds like fun! What I have done is leave a message on the answering machine that tricked people into thinking I actually answered.. hahaha those messages were hilarious!! I said something like... "Hello? Hello?, I can barely hear you.. hold on let me try something.. Hello? Are you still there??" it was soo funny the messages I caught on tape of people trying to talk thinking i had picked up.. lmao

The first time I saw it done was on this old sitcom with Valerie Bertinelli called, One Day at a Time, back when answering machines first came out. (1970's) It's such as old trick now that it's really not funny, or I guess you could say its so stupid it is funny.

Yes I have done that and it worked until I had to say the beep then they knew it was me and not the machine lol.

yes i have done this befor except i got cuaght becuase my beep was unrealistic, so if u plan on doing this make shure u find somthing that makes a beep sound so that it will sound just like an answering machine.

yep, usually they know its really me... i've fallen for the voice mails that talk as if they answered the phone and i talk back till they say its a joke and then it beeps- usually speachless at that point cause i felt so dumb.

No, but I pretended that I was at another place and I was busy (I was at home doing nothing) just to get me out of talking to someone that I didn't want to talk to. Or I just don't answer.

awwwww man you should try it another good one is to set your answering machine to hold up a conversation type thing like - "hello?.....oh hey! hows it goin?........that's cool...hey can you do me a HUGE favor?.....great alright can you repeat all that after the beep?......thanks, i'd really appreciate it....ok Bye!" or act like an aswering machine acting like you're really there...if that makes any sense ;-)

Yes!! Before Caller ID I would do it alot just to see who was calling it was funny!
