I would offer to go dutch - if he wnats to pay let him and say "as long as I can get it next time...." (this leaves the optionof another date open)

I am 5'5" and I find guys taller than 5'8" intimidating - it is very kind of you to even realize that is sometimes a problem for us shorter guys....with me a nice warm smile goes a LONG LONG way to making me comfortable.

Good grammar is another thing - don't say yeah and nope and stuff like that...be polite - watch your table manners.

I tell you I just now realized how much I miss that first date.....I have been with my husband 17 years!

Wow to me 26 is robbing the cradle. Age has nothing to do with it. I'm more childish then most 19 y/o. Whoever asked the other person out usually pays the bill. If he asked you out you can tell him you will leave the tip. Just relax you may find out that the difference in age is nothing. Just get to know him, ask him about his childhood and growing up. Stay away from questions like his Job (some guys love talking about their job, it's very boring). Just have fun and open up to him as well. Have fun.

when you wrote "older guy" i though you were talking about an OLDER guy, like 15 or 20 or more years older than you. you'll be surprised to see that there aren't that many differences between you.
to make an impression... dont make an effort, just be you. it's never good to put on a mask because then you have to wear it for the rest of the relationship and if it's a long oneit will be hard to do.
as to the height... that could be a problem, if he's uptight about his height, but just play it by ear... if your body language is relaxed your height wont matter much.
bill... either share the expenses or take turns. it's always good to offer... like... if he pays at the restaurant, you can pay for the drinks or coffee or whatever you have....
what to talk about... just be yourself, talk about what interests you... i'm sure you'll find common ground.
and if it gets to bed, you wont need to talk too much.

Age does not matter, just be yourself and relax. Let him lead on the conversation and you just go from there. If he invited you out then he would be the one to pay.

He maybe be thinking the same thing you are, what do I do this kid is younger then me?

So just relax and everything should be fine... Have a good time..

be yourself and don't try to impress. he must like you or you wouldn't be dating.
i would go dutch unless he offers to pay (there's a good chance he will since he's working and you're not).

don't worry so much. go and have fun.

I don't think you need to do anything to impress him. You just being much younger is all he needs to be impressed.

follow his lead, do not try to impress, be yourself, talk about things that interest you, be honest.

my rule is, he who made the date pays the check
