Crosby is under contract until 2012 I believe. Also you do know nothing about hockey as 4 million for Crosby is clearly too low of a bid. Maybe his ROOKIE deal, where they are limited in what they can make and he isn't even making 1 million, but once he reaches Restricted Free Agency he can get up to 20% of the Salary Cap which is about 50 million.

liar....he's locked up under a brand new spanking contract worth about 8 million a season. Sidney Crosby arguebly the best player in the game right now isnt going to take 4 million from anywhere

Hey guys, I don't know much about hockey, but I met Daniel Alfredsson the other day, and he told me that Senators are planning to bid $499,000 canadian dollars for Roberto Luongo. I also heard from Martin Brodeur that Mario Lemieux has come out of retirement and has signed a 1 year 1 mil deal with the Devils.........for real.

You know what i heard. The other day i ran into paul kariya and he said the Blues are going to offer free agent Danny Briere a 8 year $53 Million deal. And he said that they also are bidding for Chris Drury.

Forget it. Penguins signed Crosby an extension plus they got him cheaper. Crosby agreed to a cut in his pay if they agree to spend the money that they save in renovating the arena there.

its a 6 year extension.
and I doubt that Vinny would say something like that. Especially since its not a rumor that made the rounds at the forum.
and they aren't trading brad any time soon..... salary is locked with him for this season and next.
so yet another unsubstantiated rumor..... they're paying current players more than that per season.
Sid's a good player, but he belongs to the Pens, they need him..... more than we do in tampa........

Well, he's making more than double that amount in Pitt, so if TB is serious, they'll need to trade Richards, St. Louis and your new friend, Vincent in exchange for Crosby.
That would actually be an interseting deal...hmmm.
